Senate District 10 NEW DAY!

Posted on January 14, 2014 at 8:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Voters rejoice -

We are starting a new day and will elect a new Senator to represent us in our Senate District 10!

The media is claiming that our district is not conservative, I disagree, because I've watched people in our district vote for conservatives.  The democrat because they had no idea Davis was a democrat and very liberal... you know her as the one who filibustered against the UPGRADING of Texas women's health care in clinics across Texas; lied about her background; etc...

Our Senate District 10 IS CONSERVATIVE and we will keep it that way.  Who we elect should be a candidate who can win in the General election in November.  We have 5 candidates and they are not all conservatives or qualified in my opinon. Coming along lately as a candidate for the 31 member Texas Senate.

Some of the candidates have never even voted in a Republican primary, yet they think they know how to represent us deciding on multiple laws without any experience of voting in our Republican primary.  Some really need to build their experience in the party, in order for us to know what they might stand for or against.  They all claim to be ready to fight for us, but where were they when we made calls, walked blocks, gave finincially to our candidates fighting against liberal Davis?  They were not there, is that the care they have?

This is why I am supporting Dr. Mark Shelton.  He faced the democrat incumbant, Davis.  Mark was a St. Rep. for House district in Tarrant County with a proven conservative principles.  Fought for prolife bills, cutting our taxes, and balancing the budget,  He also was Co Author and helped pass the voter id laws, to help cut back on the fraud in our elections.

DR MARK SHELTON CAMPAIGN PROMISES

I am running for the Texas Senate because I believe that Texas has a great future! As your senator, I promise to:

Judges Galore in 2014; how do you know who to pick?

Posted on January 2, 2014 at 7:05 AM Comments comments (0)

The Judges I have recomended are individuals who have been confirmed and come recommended by many others in Tarrant County who have worked with them, witnessed them in vast areas of home, and comunity life.  They are all committed to working for our conservative rights, keeping the courts run following the law, and making them the best they can be.

Judicial Temperment is important to ruling from the bench, which takes patience and a gentle slow to anger attitude.  Legislating is not the job of a judge, but following and knowing the intent of the law is crucial.  These are some things I have used to determine and selecting the judges on my list of endorsements.   Opponents not endorsed do not nessesarily do/don't uphold these criteria, but it MAY be that the person chosen is equal or more experienced.

Personal Accountability
They stand for and agree with the following statements:

  1. They have compassion, decisiveness, open-mindedness, sensitivity, courtesy, patience, freedom from bias and commitment to equal justice.
  2. Respect for the Judicial System and building trust with citizens making fair desicions, with out impartiality, bias or prejudice.
  3. The parties and counsel will be satisfied that they have had a fair hearing of the dispute, regardless of the judge's ultimate decision.
  4. Strong commitment to be the embodiment of justice by showing respect to all a judge/attorney interacts with in the court room.
  5. Convicted criminals ought to be punished; punishment ought to deter future criminal activity and, where possible, be rehabilitative in nature;
  6. Agents of the government are not above the law and therefore must work within the law;
  7. Judges and court staff will be respectful and work diligently to provide the highest level of service possible while being good stewards of taxpayer funds.

Fiscal Accountability

They will provide good stewardship of taxpayer dollars in the court.

Proven examples of their ability to accomplish good management; of staff, time, and finances in the courtroom.

Knowledge of the Law

Taught, or certified in specialized law in their type of law for the bench sought.  ie..Criminal specialization; Committees for keeping unauthorized law, or ethics.

Many confirmations of their accomplishments to exacute the law in the court room; many are respected in their practice.

These are my opinions and criteria for selecting candidates.  Many have some but not as strongly as those choosen.

It's election time again... here we go into 2014!

Hot Topics on the minds of grassroots:

SD 10 Race is shaping up to be a critical race for our precinct, but most of the candidates will not jump into the race until the incumbent democrat (which I am proud to say our precinct DID NOT elect) decides what she will do.

If she runs as Governor, expect there to be an onslaught of candidates from which to choose.

If she runs again as Senator for Dist. 10, there will be few in our primary in March.

Currently, we have the following possible candidates that have announced, but that is subject to change as we get closer to the filing date.

  • Dr. Mark Shelton who ran against her and lost in the 2012 election.
  • Mark Skinner - Businessman, Realtor, and developer from Colleyville Texas
  • Konni Burton - Colleyville resident, wedding planner, and mom

Keep waiting for the updates sometime after Labor Day which is when the Democrat liberal, pro-late-term abortion, incumbent will decide what spotlight she will take.

I have the same challenger again for Precinct Chair  in #2360!
Here are some interesting facts and a video on my opponent.

I support the constitution and the right to bear arms, but his adversarial and misguided approach hurts our cause.

You may also review my previous post on the importance of the precinct chair seat.

God Bless these Mansfield officers who face all kinds of people. I'm concerned for their safety, and they're concerned for ours.  A background check on Kory Watkins reveals many disturbing facts like these:

Day one of Early Voting in the Run off primary

Posted on July 23, 2012 at 7:50 PM Comments comments (0)

As I stood out in the sweltering heat of 97 degrees to greet the voters of Precinct #2360 today.  It was a bit amazing that most of our citizens that came to the Sub Court house where not aware of the Run Off Candidates.  And they didnt know that they could vote without a voter registration card.  The Voter ID Bill had not passed yet.

I was glad I was there to encourage them to take the 15 mins. to go in and make their voices be heard by casting thier vote in an election noted for unbelievably low turn out.

Even though the turn out was low, I am proud to annouce that there have been 250 voters at the sub court house at 6pm.

Lets send the best we can to every office from our house to the white house!  Those who do not have our liberties in mind are depending on you not to vote!
